Accessing a Doctor or Nurse

Appointments must be made either by phone or in person. However, if you need to speak on a matter which is not appropriate for a pre booked appointment, the receptionist will convey a message to the Doctor/ Nurse, and ask either that they contact you or ask that you phone back at a later time/ date.

We are now working an 'advanced access appointment system' which means that although we have pre-bookable appointments the majority of the appointments are now 'book on the day'. This means that if you have a problem today we should be able to see you today. Please ring in the morning to obtain a same day appointment.
"Did Not Attend's" (DNA's)
If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know with as much notice as possible, as we will then be able to offer that appointment to another patient who needs to be seen. Each week, an average of 27 appointments are wasted as patients do not attend and do not advise us. This is equivalent to 2 full surgeries a week wasted. Please therefore always remember to let us know if you will not be attending. Thank you for your co-operation.
